That Couple with a Beaver 2020 pastel on orange paper 22.9 x 30.48cm, 9 x 12 inches. Why is this important? So glad you were wondering about that. The first three pictures on this page were drawn from the kayak at a marsh at the moment they happened. That was where the beaver, muskrat and heron were discovered and drawn or "painted" with pastels on special papers. These animals have left the marsh. Since there was a global pandemic in 2020, it seems the animals were more willing to be seen. The water level dropped significantly the next year making the marsh uninhabitable for many animals.
